As part of its strong growth and industrial transformation, our subsidiary BMS PowerSafe, currently one of the top 3 Battery Management System manufacturers in Europe, with the safest intelligent embedded solutions on the market, compatible with all types of applications, is looking for its future operating safety engineer.
Description of significant job activities:
Working closely with the technical teams on all project phases, you will guarantee the reliability of our processes and products, ensuring compliance with safety standards. You will be responsible for : – Carrying out operational safety studies during the various product development phases (preliminary risk analysis, safety plan, etc.):
– Produce regulatory safety files on behalf of supervisory/regulatory authorities (e.g. transport authorities); – Check that selected system architectures comply with project objectives – Participate in team awareness-raising and skills upgrading – Manage subcontracted SDF activities – Identify the impact of product developments – Participate in standards watch on battery and functional safety.
With 5 years’ higher education in electronics/electricity and operational safety, you have at least 5 years’ experience in similar positions and a sound knowledge of operational safety standards (EN61508, ISO26262, EN 50126). You are familiar with SDF analysis (tools/methodology) and are able to understand the operation of complex systems (electronics, electrochemistry, mechanics, etc.). Ideally, you are familiar with batteries. Adaptable and good at interpersonal relations, you’ll be able to communicate easily with a variety of internal and external contacts, and acculturate teams to the challenges and tools of operating safety. You have a good level of English (written and spoken).
